The Caffè Pe-fè Blend 73 ESE pod contains an organic blend created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Caffè Pe-Fè roasting company, founded in 1973 in Orte.
Blend 73 is a blend of 70% Indonesian organic Robusta, whose predominance over Arabica gives the cup a creamier, fuller-bodied taste while still maintaining a pleasant aroma. In fact, the Robusta used to create the blend is exceptionally grown and harvested at an above-average altitude, which is why the coffee is clean (without unpleasant, harsh flavors) and fragrant.
This is a complex blend that combines the unmistakable aroma, delicate flavor, and light acidity of prestigious organic Arabica beans with the bold, intense character of Indonesian organic Robusta beans, both varieties primarily classified as specialty coffees.
The medium roast gives the blend a strong character, with a distinctive roundness highlighted by particularly intense sweet chocolate notes.
